Professor Ronnie Jack will first of all briefly examine Fergusson’s poetry in relation to his life, focusing particularly on how far, if at all, his mental health issues can be detected in his art. He will then celebrate the poet’s work from a number of perspectives as well as placing him within the eighteenth century vernacular revival in Scottish verse.

Spaces & Places Exhibition

spaces + places exhibition posterWe have new exhibition opening at the Link Gallery in the Royal Edinburgh Hospital on the 8th of April, if you have some time then we suggest you make your way there.

Artist Charlotte Podger interviewed five staff and patients of the REH, to find out which space or object they particularly associate with the hospital or holds a particular memory for them.  A room in the hospital? A corner of a garden? A corridor? A view from a window?

The things they picked might surprise you.
